From December 25 to 28 an internship for 25 youth workers from the Russian Federation was held in Baku. The delegation included leaders, specialists and youth workers of state institutions and public associations.
The internship was conducted by the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of RTU MIREA, the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan following the results of distance learning course as part of the implementation of an additional professional advanced training program “Organization of youth work in the CIS.”
Within the framework of the program participants met with representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. They got acquainted with the structure of youth policy in Azerbaijan as well as the main youth areas of work and projects. Participants discussed the development of further interregional and international cooperation, the organization and holding of the annual Azerbaijan-Russian Youth Forum 2021 which will be held on December 29, presented the practices of working with youth using the example of their institutions, got acquainted with the activities of the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth. Moreover, a cultural and excursion program was organized for participants in historical places and sights of Baku.
Three internships were held this year in which 75 people took part. The purposes of the internship:
- Improving the professional competencies of youth workers,
- Formation of ideas about state youth policy in the Russian Federation and the CIS Member States,
- Increasing the level of theoretical and practical training.
