Youth workers from the Commonwealth countries completed an internship in Armenia

Leaders, specialists and youth workers of state institutions and public associations from Armenia, Belarus and Russia spent 4 days in Yerevan, Hrazdan and Tsakhkadzor getting acquainted with youth policy of Armenia and the best republican and municipal practices of the country.

Delegates met with representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia and the Mayor of Hrazdan, shared presentations of the best youth projects, visited youth sites and organizations in Armenia including the Russian Centre in Hrazdan.

Participants of the internship got acquainted with the activities of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States and the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth, with the activities of the Center for Analysis and Prevention of Information Threats in Youth Environment. As part of the internships an educational workshop “The role of non-formal education in working with youth” and a session “Motivation for participation. Development of interregional youth cooperation”. 

Recall that internships are annual and are implemented by the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of RTU MIREA – the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth within the framework of advanced training courses “Organization of youth work in the CIS space” and “Organization of international youth cooperation” with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
