Plans for Russian-Uzbek youth cooperation were discussed at the conference in Tashkent

On July 25 in Tashkent the International Conference “Ensuring the implementation of joint international programs, projects and events in the field of culture, education and science by non-profit organizations of Uzbekistan and Russia: experience and prospects” was held. 

The organizers were the Sharq Ayoli International Women’s Public Foundation, the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund and the National Association of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations of Uzbekistan. Discussion participants were representatives of public organizations of Uzbekistan and Russia, representatives of departments of legislative and executive power.

At the conference they discussed prospects for integrating public sector of two countries, proposals for strengthening humanitarian cooperation. They also shared information on grant funding for social projects.

At the opening of the event the Acting Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Republic of Uzbekistan Rostislav Voitekhovsky emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation.

Kamol Rakhimov, the adviser to the Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation of the CIS spoke about the interaction of the IFESCCO with non-governmental organizations of Uzbekistan.

The Head of the International Department of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of RTU MIREA Victoria Olinchuk made a presentation on prospects for Russian-Uzbek cooperation within the framework of activities of the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth.  

Daria Saprynskaya, the project manager of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund spoke about cooperation in the humanitarian vector and about prospects for the implementation of bilateral projects.

Delegates of the conference were also presented with the international projects of Rosmolodyozh.
