On July 21-24, 2021 in Vladivostok, on Russky Island the IX Russian-Belarusian Youth Forum “Youth and Technology. From Brest to Vladivostok” was held in a hybrid format.
Since 2013 the forum has been held at the initiative of the National Youth Council of Russia and its closest partners – the Belarusian Republican Youth Union and the Belarusian Committee of Youth Organizations with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
More than two hundred representatives of federal and regional youth public organizations, leaders of youth movements, students and employees of educational institutions of higher education, representatives of state bodies of the Russian Federation implementing youth policy took part in the forum.
The main topics of the discussion platforms were “Progressive science in youth environment”, “Youth and New Technologies. Digital tools in youth work”, “Youth projects of the Union State”.
“Today digital and other science-intensive technologies literally permeate all spheres of life, become a factor in the economic development of states and the growth of well-being of our citizens. Here Russia and Belarus, of course, have advantages: both Russia and Belarus have always been distinguished by a high level of academic, industry science, the desire to effectively use the results of advanced research and development. It is natural that cooperation in the field of science and technology from the first years of the Union State was among the priorities of our common work,” Grigory Petushkov, the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia said during the opening of the plenary session of the forum.
The event included discussion platforms, meetings with experts and representatives of executive authorities, master classes, work of thematic groups, excursion events and much more. As a result of the forum a final resolution was adopted.
Recall that the main objectives of the forum are the development of cooperation between representatives of youth public organizations and students of Russia and Belarus, the creation of conditions for the formation of bilateral projects and programs, the maintenance and strengthening of friendship, interaction and mutual understanding of peoples, the creation of an educational space to increase youth participation.
