1st Russian-Venezuelan Youth Forum will be held in 2022

This year the first Russian-Venezuelan Youth Forum will be held in Moscow with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

It was agreed upon by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the Latin American Region, the Commissioner for International Relations of the Youth Wing of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (USPV) Mr. Rander Ismael Pena and the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia Grigory Petushkov. The meeting took place on March 6 on the sidelines of the 5th USPV Congress and the 4th Party Youth Congress that opened the day before in Caracas.

Separately, the parties discussed the possibility of signing an intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Venezuela on cooperation in the field of youth policy and also agreed that in March the National Council will hold a video conference with leaders of youth organizations from Latin America.

Grigory Petushkov thanked the Venezuelan diplomat for supporting Russia as well as for explaining Moscow’s position on security issues in Europe from the rostrum of the congress.

In numerous speeches from the rostrum of the 5th Congress of the USPV words of support were addressed to Russia. On the sidelines of the event delegates and media representatives asked many questions about the situation around Ukraine. In this regard, Grigory Petushkov gave a number of interviews to representatives of local radio and television companies.

Separate words of gratitude and sincere appreciation are expressed by the National Youth Council of Russia to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Venezuela for the assistance provided during the visit to Caracas.
