Internship for youth workers in Yekaterinburg

From November 28 to December 1 an internship for 20 youth workers from the CIS countries took place in Yekaterinburg. The delegation included leaders, specialists and youth workers of state institutions and public associations from Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan.

As part of the program participants met with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Department for Youth Policy and the Yekaterinburg Administration. They got the opportunity to get acquainted with the structure of youth policy of the Sverdlovsk Region and the city of Yekaterinburg as well as the main youth areas of work. Participants visited the Press Center, the Arkady Gaidar Caravel sailing flotilla and the Quantorium Children’s Technopark, exchanged practices of working with young people, discussed problems and prospects in youth work. In addition to the working program, a cultural and excursion program around Yekaterinburg was prepared for participants.

The partners of the internship were the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Department for Youth Policy of the Yekaterinburg Administration, the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Union of Youth” of the Sverdlovsk Region.

Recall that internships are annual and are implemented by the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of RTU MIREA – the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth as part of the advanced training course “Organization of youth work in the CIS space” with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
