The forum will be held on December 3-5, 2021 in an online format. It is one of the main events of the Russian-Japanese Youth Exchange Plan for 2021.
The main topic of the forum is “Russian-Japanese cooperation – together in the future”.
The following working sections are planned within the framework of the forum:
- “Energy Issues” (issues under consideration: Whether the energy supply is limited or unlimited, there is a need for green energy. Demand-side (energy conservation, recycling) and supply-side (renewables, nuclear) issues and challenges. Common contribution and joint development in the energy sectors of Russia and Japan),
- “Environmental problems” (issues under consideration: Response to climate change, protection of aquatic environment, protection of forests, protection of animals and plants. Views of Russia and Japan on the development and protection of the Arctic Ocean and its environment. Technical cooperation and joint activities in this area),
- “Young Scientists” (issues under consideration: Measures to support young scientists in Russia and Japan. Activities of student scientific associations. Contribution of young scientists to the development of Russian-Japanese relations),
- “Young Family” (issues under consideration: Formation of family values among young people. Measures to support young families in Russia and Japan).
Citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 30 interested in the development of Russian-Japanese Youth Cooperation on the topics of the forum, who speak English at least Intermediate level, are invited to participate in the forum from the Russian side. They are university students, young professionals and leaders of youth public associations.
Forum working language is English.
To participate in the competitive selection, you must fill out an application before 18:00 (Moscow time) on November 7, 2021 at the link https://forms.gle/G9SjKKXRfJkHgX1W9 including attaching a Word file with the abstract of the report on the selected topic of the working sections (2 pages in English).
The application does not guarantee participation in the forum. Notification letters will be sent to candidates passed the competitive selection by November 14, 2021.
