Public nomination for the UNEP (the United Nations Environment Programme) Award, the world’s leading voice for the protection of the environment, has been opened.
According to UNEP, the focus of 2022 will be on preventing, halting and reversing the degradation of ecosystems around the world.
The awards will be presented in the nominations “Political leadership”, “Inspiration and action”, “Entrepreneurial vision” and “Science and innovation”.
It is noted that the “Champions of the Earth” award is presented to individuals, groups and organizations whose actions positively affect the state of environment.
The closing date for applications is April 11.
