On December 8-11 the Russian-Armenian Youth Forum was held in Moscow. The traditional event is held alternately in Russia and Armenia.
Greetings at the opening of the Forum were delivered by the Director of the Department of State Youth Policy of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Denis Valeryevich Ashirov, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Artur Melsikovich Martirosyan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Pavlovich Kopirkin, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Republic of Armenia in the Russian Federation Vardan Surenovich Toganyan, the President of the World Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia Abramyan Ara Arshavirovich, the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia, the Director of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations of RTU MIREA Grigory Petushkov.
The main topics of the seventh Russian-Armenian Youth Forum were:
– “Youth business projects”, trends in youth business ideas, their support and motivation, prospects for youth business cooperation,
– “Youth tourism” – the concept of youth tourism, tourism trends, promotion and development of tourism,
– “Development of youth bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Russia” in general, in various humanitarian areas.
The first Russian-Armenian Youth Forum was held in February 2015 in Yerevan, in the Republic of Armenia. The purpose of the Forum is to develop bilateral youth cooperation, strengthen relations between youth organizations of two countries in order to combine efforts and effectively implement youth policy of Russia and Armenia.
The forum was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the basic organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth (RTU MIREA), the National Youth Council of Russia, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia with the support of the Union of Armenians of Russia.
As a result of the event a resolution included current proposals and initiatives of young people participated in the forum on the implementation of new bilateral projects, the development of youth programs, exchanges was adopted.
As part of the forum young people were invited to analyze the current state of relations between two countries in the field of humanitarian cooperation and to develop prospects for further cooperation at a new stage.
