The plan of Russian-German youth events was discussed at the meeting in Moscow

From June 22 to 25, 2021 the working meeting of the Russian Coordination Bureau for Youth Exchanges with Germany and the German-Russian Youth Exchange Foundation was held in Moscow. Meeting participants discussed plans for joint work on the development of youth cooperation between Russia and Germany for June-December 2021.

National coordination bureaus – the Russian Coordination Bureau for Youth Cooperation with Germany and the German-Russian Youth Exchange Foundation –  were established in 2006. They provide practical assistance to participants and organizers of Russian-German youth, school and professional youth exchanges (methodological, informational and  consulting, visa support, search for partner organizations) as well as annually hold joint events to improve the skills of exchange organizers.

The key topic of the working meeting was the discussion of the concept of holding the Russian-German partnership conference of organizers of youth and school exchanges dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the creation of two coordination bureaus which will be held in November 2021 in Hamburg.

Within the framework of the conference participants from among the organizers of youth, school and professional youth exchanges from Russia and Germany will discuss the current situation in the field of bilateral youth cooperation and develop proposals for its further development. Competitive selection for participation in the conference is starting at the end of July.

In addition, participants of the meeting discussed the preparation of the Russian-German seminar “Organization of youth exchanges online” which will be held in September.

Information about the conditions for participation in the events will be posted on the Portal of official information on international youth cooperation www.intermol.su.

The agenda of the meeting also included a discussion of the conditions for conducting Russian-German youth exchanges in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, their methodological and informational support.
