The Islamic Republic of Iran is confident in the need to expand cooperation with Russia in educational, scientific and cultural fields.
This was stated on February 24 by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, Kazem Jalali speaking at the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund in front of Russian and foreign experts and journalists.
According to the diplomat, the expansion of mutual trips of citizens of our states is of particular importance for strengthening bilateral relations. A powerful contribution to this process can be made by the systematic building of ties in the field of science and higher education, the exchange of teachers and interuniversity contacts.
As an example of such mutually beneficial cooperation the diplomat named the partnership between Lomonosov Moscow State University and Tehran University.
Earlier K. Jalili emphasized more than once that he considers it effective to expand the admission of Iranian students to study in Russia. According to him, this quota has been increasing in recent years.
