On May 25 a regular meeting of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States was held

Implementation of the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of the CIS Member States until 2030, cooperation in the field of youth volunteering and entrepreneurship, international projects “100 Ideas for the CIS” and “CIS Youth Capital” – these and other issues were discussed by participants of the 30th meeting of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States.

The event was attended by representatives and members of the Council from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of the basic organizations of the CIS Member States for working with youth and the development of youth entrepreneurship as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting was held by Grigory Petushkov, the Co-Chairman of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States, the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia. Participants were welcomed by Alexei Sazonov, the Director of the Department for Humanitarian Cooperation, General Political and Social Problems of the CIS Executive Committee.

During the meeting results of activities of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States in 2021 were summed up and tasks for 2022 were identified. Among them:

  • preparation and approval in accordance with the established procedure of the Action Plan for 2023–2024 for the implementation of the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of the CIS Member States for 2021–2030, 
  • organizing the development of the Action Plan for 2021–2022 for the implementation of the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of the CIS Member States for 2021–2030, organizing the development of the Action Plan for 2021–2023 to implement the Concept of Cooperation Development of the CIS Member States in Support of the Youth Volunteer Movement, 
  • promotion of the effective activity of the basic organizations of the CIS Member States for working with youth and for the development of youth entrepreneurship, 
  • organization of the national stage of the International Youth Project of the CIS Member States “100 Ideas for the CIS”, 
  • taking necessary measures for the implementation of the International project “Youth Capital of the CIS”.

Taking into account the principle of rotation provided for by the Regulation on the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Council is appointed as the Chairman of the Council for the next period.

Appropriate decisions were made on other issues on the agenda.

The next, 31st meeting of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States will be held in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
