Working meeting between Russia and Azerbaijan (archive event)

In September 2021 it was planned to hold the next Russian-Azerbaijani working group in the field of youth cooperation in person. The program has been prepared with the full-time participation of members of the group from both countries.

Participants: The composition of the Russian-Azerbaijani working group in the field of youth cooperation on the part of the Russian Federation includes representatives of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Department of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Rosmolodyozh, the Fourth Department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Department of International Development Assistance and Humanitarian Programs of Rossotrudnichestvo, the Department of International Cooperation and Public Relations of the Ministry of Education of Russia, the National Youth Council of Russia. On the part of the Republic of Azerbaijan representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Department of Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the 1st territorial department of the State Committee for Working with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the department for working with youth organizations of the Azerbaijan Youth Fund, the National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Heydar Aliyev Center. In total 23 people participated there. 

The topic of the meeting is the implementation of the Plan of joint activities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of youth policy for 2021.

Because of the current epidemiological situation with COVID-19 based on decisions of the relevant Ministries of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan the event was postponed to be held online in January 2022.

During the meeting results of the implementation of state youth policy in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2021 were announced. Results of the implementation of the Action Plan between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the implementation of youth cooperation for 2021 were summed up. The issue of developing and approving the Plan of main events between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan for the implementation of youth cooperation for 2022 as well as the issue of the time and place of the 3rd meeting of the working group were considered.

Results: 

The 2nd meeting of the Russian-Azerbaijani working group on cooperation in the field of youth policy was held.

According to proposals received in the final protocol, it was decided to exchange information materials between relevant ministries on a regular basis in the field of implementation of state youth policy in Russia and Azerbaijan, to recognize as satisfactory the implementation of the Action Plan between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the implementation of youth cooperation for 2021 taking into account the epidemiological situation in territories of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was also decided to approve the Plan of main events between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan for the implementation of youth cooperation for 2022 taking into account the epidemiological situation in territories of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan, and to organize the 3rd meeting of the working group on the territory of the Russian Federation in the second half of 2022.
